The clean smell of pine

One of our best HOTMAX customers told us the other day that she thought that one of the biggest benefits of our fuel logs is that they smell lovely. This is because they're actually made entirely and purely of softwood dust and particles.

In fact, the wood we use as much as possible in making our BEDMAX shavings - which is where the HOTMAX dust comes from - is pine, so a basket of HOTMAX eco logs sitting in your living room gives off a clean natural smell of pine.

We make no medicinal claims for our products, but one of the reasons we prefer using pine is that it has traditionally been regarded as having antiseptic properties. This has recently been scientifically verified. Pine does indeed contain oleoresins with anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.

So with HOTMAX you get the benefits of that clean, fresh smell of pine, but without the resins that can clog up flues and chimneys when you burn softwood logs.
